There is good news and bad news for you buddy. The bad news is that under Starband 360 VPN is not supported so that could be a problem for you. Also they do not support networking under that plan. This is a quote right from the Starband website
"The StarBand Residential service is intended for Internet connectivity and support of a single PC connected directly to the StarBand satellite modem. Additional computers, networked in such a way as to utilize the StarBand Residential service and consume additional bandwidth, are not supported by StarBand and may result in service restrictions if the bandwidth usage exceeds permissible levels under the Acceptable Use Policy.
Networking multiple PCs to share access to the StarBand Residential service is done solely at the member's own risk and may invalidate the ability of the StarBand software to function properly.PLEASE NOTE: Networking the StarBand Model 360 service via a router or other hardware device connected directly to the StarBand satellite modem is expressly forbidden and will not work on the StarBand Model 360 system."
Having said that yes you could network using the system but it would be tricky to setup and on top of that you would more than likely fall into a trap of using more bandwidth per one account and they would cut off service for a while. From what I see on the website and know about Starband and Direcway and others of that ilk is that its best to upgrade to a small office type service if they offer it or you can afford it. That should give you all the services you want and not break any user agreements they may have in place. For more info on this and other related topics see this link HERE (http://www.starband.com/residential/index.asp) I hope this helps you in some small way thanks for posting...cheers
