I am attempting to network a printer. The computer I just added can not find the printer on the network and asks for the printers LAN address or LAN IP address. How do I find this out?

What make and model is the printer? Does it have an internal print server? Is it shared through an external printserver? Is it a printer shared through another computer? What OS aare you using?

It's an old HP 6122. Found out the new Norton program had a firewall in it and it didn't prompt me to turn it off. Thanks
