Hi, I have had a home wireless network for over a year, using a wireless pcmcia card on my laptop running XP pro.

I made the mistake of installing a newer driver over the old driver which then stopped the card from functioning. I did a roll back on the driver without success, uninstalled the whole thing and reinstalled, and with tinkering I am now up to wireless connection 5 - still without a card that works.

Is there any simple way of removing the whole thing from the registry and starting over?

Unfortunately I did not have system restore active, so i can't go back to before the original mistake!

thank you for any advice

The card have gotten cheap. It might be worth trying a new one. Otherwise, you can back up the registry and then start doing registry searches for anything that sounds like the driver. Good luck with that though.

Can you post info on the card you are using and exactly what you are getting for an error? With out more info, I'd start by going to all of the wireless devices that your system knows about and unistall the driver. Then, delete all the wireless devices and start over.
