I would like to know if switching a cisco router to a new t1 line needs configuration on the cisco router side? I have a point to point network with one of my locations.
There is new t1 lines on both ends, so i was thinking is all i need to do is just disconnect the routers and connect them to the new t1 lines and i'll be fine.
thanks

It kind of depeds on how your interfaces are setup and how the switches on the network get ip addresses. If you have dumb switches it won't matter too much but if you have managed switches you will have to rework the routers config. I'm assuming that the new t-1 line comes with new ip blocks as well that will have to be pooled for managed switches and there would need to be routing statements for the new ip's. This advice is of course very generalised and may or may not apply depending on your network setup.
