I just noticed that Merijn.org has a page, found here (http://www.merijn.org/forums.html), dedicated to listing forums that are good for posting HijackThis logs to be looked over, and CTH is not listed there.

I'm sure most of you have probably already noticed this, and probably even know why we aren't listed. But, to me, it seems like we should be seeing as how there are so many logs posted here each day and, IMO, the HijackThis Helpers here do a fantastic job of diagnosing the logs and providing cleanup instructions.

I guess it just seems to me like that would cause more recognition, which means more registered users, which means more money for MishY, which means a better CTH for all.

Anyone have any comments?

Has MishY ever looked into this or perhaps contacted anyone at Merijn.org about being put on that list?

It seems to me that the Hijack helpers are busy enough without the advertising.

Busy or not, I just feel that it is best for the development and financial status of the forum, MishY doesn't get his money off of trees in his front yard, ya know. :)

Maybe or maybe not, just wondering if advertising is really necessary since there are only 3 or 4 individuals here at cth that actively do the hijackthis thing and I am all the time seeing logs that are not being worked - either because in the wrong forums or later on in a thread.

Could also create a bandwidth problem.

At the same time, advertising in the other site could send more hijackthis and other techs cth's way.

Amen to that.

Look at all the stickies in Cyber Safety that most don't read and post their HJT logs. How many HJT 1.97
posts do we still see in Cyber Safety for one.

Many infected users are in a fervor to get there list pasted and get a tech to
point to the fixes. "Come here and paste-away" might open a flood of non-sticky-reader posters and
you have to post 3 or 4 times to get a 1.99 HJT log that already has had Ad-Aware, Spybot, or M$
AntiSpyware run over it first.
