my network administrator quit on me, so i need help!! i am on a windows nt network with windows 2000 machines... lately when i login, it will tell me that network path could not be found, however, in "my computer" box, i was able to refresh the network drive, and then i was ok... but now i can not even do that... the current network setup is: nt server>switch>machines... i also have: cable modem>router>switch>machines... i have admin rights on all machines, i just need to know where to start troubleshooting... please help

Can you access any PC or Network share manually

e.g.
\\PCNAME\ (file://\PCNAME)
\\PCNAME\SHARE (file://\PCNAMESHARE)

or have you tried the NET commands via a Command Prompt such as NET VIEW

or even tried pinging the machines?

Change all your passwords immediately. Sys admins who leave on bad terms often remote in to destroy things.
