unable to read any pdf I have adobe vers 7

I am unable to read any pdf files even though I have deleted all vers 6 of adobe,for the same reason and have now downloaded version 7.I still get the same result ..just rows of numbers .What am I doing wrong?

Just as a Test try installing version 5

also, do you have the correct fonts installed?
Are you sure the PDFs are not corrupted?

I am not sure how to tell if the pdf files are corrupted also not sure if I have the correct fonts.How do I check the fonts are correct?

You wound need to know what fonts were used to create the PDF.

Usually it would give an error when opening if that was the case.
