Talking No memory in h/drive

Good morning to all,
Everytime I try to go into Outlook Express I get an error message that reads: "Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full" and it won't let me read my mail. I know my disk is not full and I did a defrag yesterday and cleaned. How can I solve this problem?
Thank you so much in advance!
