Hibernation mode errors

hey i have a toshiba pentium 2 laptop and everytime i close the lid, and open it, 3 errors come up:


Hibernation Utility:
! Your computer cannot go into hibertation mode. (stays on)
There is an error in the hibernation file or the file does not exist.

Hibernation Utility:
VxD Error
Error Code : 2 <== that one twice


whats going on?

Check your sustem supports hibernation mode or update the drivers.

im sure it supports it because it used to work until recently. im not sure what caused it, but all i need to know is how to fix it.
