I'm trying to do a clean install, get rid of WinXP and get Win98 on there.
I load the machine with the boot disk in place,
Diagnostic tools loaded successfuly to Drive C:
great, now i start FDISK choose large drive support, etc. First I check the partition info - Current fixed disk drive: 1, Partition: 1, Type: NTFS.
I go back to the FDISK menu and choose "Delete primary DOS partition" then I get: No Primary DOS partition to delete.
I go back to the menu and choose to "Create Primary DOS Partition", but I get another message: No space to create DOS Partition.
I figure maybe I can skip this partition thing and carry on to formatting; so at the DOS prompt:
A:\>Format C:
but then I get this:
Format not supported on drive C:
Format terminated.
So what do I do now?
