I don't know where to begin. I'll begin when it began, actually a few weeks ago....

I was having issues with the computer temorarily freezing, and it restarted for NO reason. I could be in SWG, desktop, IE, you name it..bam restarts no warning. Fortunately, I got that fixed. I ran spyware and virus checks, it did find spyware but no viruses. I believed it was a environment file because it had $$$ in it, so disabled it and no restarts since.

BUT....

I am STILL temporarily freezing to this day. By that I mean it happens roughly every...15-20 minutes...or so, it freezes for a minute then goes back to whatever it was doing. I have tried everything I can think of, so I'll bring it here. I want to do everything possible, without having to wipe my hardrive, thats a ton of work i want to avoid. Note: Also, this doesnt happen parallel with the freezing but I also get random blue screen errors. All of them I can "click a key to go back to windows", but nevertheless they have to be part of the problem but I don't know how to fix it.

I've tried...
Virus check--Clean
Spyware check--Cleaned, every so often I get a cookie or something but immediatly taken care of
Standard scandisk-Done
Defrag system-Done
went through MSCONFIG for files that shouldn't start up with my computer-Done

Also, I do have windows ME..any other info feel free to ask if its needed.

THANK YOU for any help you can offer

Yes, what are the errors that you are receiving?

Also open the case and take a look at the cooling fans, random freezing in Windows (or any other OS for that matter) can be casued by fans that are dead or trying to die, make sure that they are are spinning like they should be.

I once worked on a computer that had spontainious blue screens of death after heavy use, the CPU fan was completely dead sitting there motionless, the fan had gotten so hot that the fan blades had melted, a new fan cured the problem.
