Have a Server2000 system which has lost its LPT1 port due to an individuals pulling the plug on the printer. How can I regenerate the LPT1 port in the registry without bringing down the system?

Have you tried removing the device from Device Manager then refreshing or using Add Hardware Wizard to reinstall it?
