Hello, I am new to the forum. I am stuck. I have recently set up a home network of 2 computers using win2k and a router. One reason for doing this was because I was having problems with my #1 computer. After getting the second puter setup I tried to reformat the 120gig HD on #1puter but no go , so I just took the hd out and put in a new 80gig hd I had. It is a maxtor and I used Maxblast3 to format it, then used my Win2k pro corp. ed. to setup, but everything works until it is installing win2k then it stops at about 10% and says it cannot copy "compstui.dll" and won't go any farther. I reformatted using the win2k disc but still the same thing and nothing I have tried has got it to go beyond this in the install. HELP Please, Thank you in advance, Dan Sloane:dizzy: Now I got it to load up but it gave me noend of files it couldn't copy. Got it to connect to the internet and downloaded envision drivers for my monitor but it would not open them, so I restarted and now it just cycles thru startups over and over, the bar completes then it restarts. HELP!!!:rotflmao:

Welcome :)

Most probably either a dodgy CD.
Try cleaning it.

although it could be bad RAM.
