Hello All,

I'm running the free version of Zone Alarm as a firewall and have recently been having the 'update' window for ZA pop up. I click 'ok' for the update and get nothing. Out of curiousity I went to ZA's website and downloaded the free version again with the intent to uninstall what I had and then reinstall. On ZA's website there is a spyware scan option using something called Anonymizer. After this scanned my computer it said that I had a piece of spyware called "LinkGrabber". Adaware se nor Spybot Search and Destroy pick this up? I was simply wondering if this was removable or if there was a way to truly see if I had the piece of spyware on my system or simply a, for lack of a better phrase, 'scare tactic' to buy the Anonymizer product to remove this lil devil.

If anyone can answer my question I would appreciate it

Thanks

To check what's running on your system I would advise you to download and run HiJack This, I have included a link HERE (http://www.spywareinfo.com/%7Emerijn/). (You'll need to scroll down the page a bit to find the download link). Install it into it's own folder on your local drive and then post the log it creates back here BUT post it in the "Cyber Safety Forum"

Cyber safety forum? Please explain where this forum is and how to post to it. I haven't used this site very often and am quite the newbie about getting around this place.

Thanks

Just click on the "support" link at the top of this page, then scroll down until you find "Cyber Safety". Click on "Cyber Safety" and then click on the "New Thread" button.
