Excessive RAM?

Hi,
i upgraded my computer recently, changed the processor, got a dual layer dvd drive and got some more ram. it all works but the problem is windows 98se keeps on rebooting before going to the desktop when i have all 3 of the ram sticks in (1.25 Gbs, 1x256, 2x512). i take one of the two 512s out and it boots up fine but i dont want to keep on taking it out everytime i want to use 98se. can anyone help? P.S when the computer boots up it say ddr channeling enabled or something like that.

Old Specs:
AMD Athlon XP 1600 +
384 MB RAM
Gainward GeForce FX5700 Ultra Goldensample
2x40 GB Hard Drives
Windows 98se + Windows XP Home

New Specs:
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
1.25GB RAM
Abit NForce 2 ultra
Gainward GeForce FX5700 Ultra Goldensample
2x40 GB Hard Drives
Windows 98se + Windows XP Home

Unfortunately too much ram will cause win98se to become unstable. Try changing the settings of your ram in your bios. Someone else will have to help there.
