Major Error in Outlook Express!
Hi, I'm new to CTH, and I hope that I can get some help here.
I'm running Outlook Express 6 on a Windows XP Professional. Recently when I open the program, it makes the "bloop" noise as if it were displaying an error message, but no message comes. Also, as soon as I attempt to open a section (Inbox, Sent, etc), Outlook Express closes, without notice or anything. I'd like to know why it's doing this and what I can do to keep it from happening. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Welcome
![]() When did it start happening? Have you tried a System Restore? Hard to trouble shoot with out an error but you could try uninstalling then reinstalling it from Add/Remove Windows Components. Also do a spyware scan http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/...ad.php?t=37546

I'm afraid to do a System Restore, as I have lots of vital documents on my Harddrive. I suppose I could get them on a disk, but I haven't go the patience for that.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll scan for spyware and all that. Do you know about Mozilla's Thunderbird? If so, can I transfer files/an account from OE to Thunderbird? |
