Internet Explorer problem with searches

Sometime yesterday I began having a problem with, basically, search sites.

Let's take my latest Google escapade as an example. I googled "tech help" and didn't see what I wanted, so I modified it to "windows internet explorer tech help." The second search froze the window. If I want to search something after my first search failed, I need to close the window and open a new one.

Is it a bug? Is it malware of some sort? Did my settings go screwy?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you have System Restore then see if you can go back to a point before the problems.

Have you tested with another browser such as Firefox or Opera?
