Trouble Re-Installing Windows Me

Hello,
Trying to re-install Windows Me but getting SUWIN caused a fault in module verx.dll.
Can anyone help, and please explain in details the answer as I am a novice at computer lingo.

I found this fix

Restart in MS-DOS mode using an Emergency Boot Disk

Follow the steps below:
A:\> c:
C:\> cd windows\system
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM> ren wmp*.dll *.lld
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM> ren wmp.ocx *.xco
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM> cd \progra~1
C:\PROGRA~1> ren window~1 wmp9

After these steps are completed, run the Windows ME setup again.
