Sun Java Problem.

Hiya, not sure if this is the appropriate forum or not, so mods feel free to move .

I have an "annoying " problem,that i cant fathom..

I regularly use a particular fooball chatroom during the games so as i can get "text comms" of the game..

anyway the problem is:

if i lose internet connection for any reason{happens semi regular} or inadvertantly change the page that contains the room i CAN NOT get back into the room without rebooting my computer..
if i attempt to access the roomwithout rebooting, alls that happens is the screen starts loading the page then gets to "applet inited{or similar}

anyone got any ideas???

as i said, not life threating, but really bloody annoying...

Does this happen if you close all browser windows and clear the cache?

Have you tried the latest version of java

i only installed the java last week{after reformatting my computer} and ive had this problem for over 12 mths

have deleted as above but still the problem continues....

i am using firefox as a w/b not sure if thats the prob, but i doubt it

ermmmmmm

i closed all other web pages {after deleting fles } and when i "refreshed" the page it said: in use, please add another profile"

i done that, now i cant fnd any of my bookmarks.. any ideas on how to revert back to where i was???

just used system restore to get my original profile back..

just tried it and it seems very slow.

When you used it did you set it to always accept the Java Certificate.
If not it needs to be accepted everytime. (i just tried and it took about 3 mins for the certificate warning to popup).

Today 06:19 PM degsy just tried it and it seems very slow.

When you used it did you set it to always accept the Java Certificate.
