I recently (..12 hours ago) reformatted my computer. I burned all my 'good' music onto a data cd, and some programs and other documents onto another data cd. Now, I'm in the process of moving all that stuff back onto the fresh hd. When I put the cd with my docs (not music) in, and try to move the files from the disc to my desktop, I get "Access is Denied." This happens with the music cd too. I can open the files, but I cant move them to my harddrive. A little help, please?

Depending on what OS you have the steps will differ on how to do this but I think what you may have to do is take "ownership" of those folders/files. Post back with what OS you are using and then we may be of more help. Also note once the OS is posted this topic may in fact get moved to the correct forum.

lita210, where at in Michigan? I could just come by the house and help you out. :P Just kidding!
Does the "access denied" error come up with just these two CD's, or any CD you use? Have you tried any other data CD's you've made yourself in the past to see if you can copy data off of them?

Heh, I live in the UP. Prooobably no where close to you :) Most people say "ooh, where in Michigan?" and then I say UP, and .. yeah. I've even gotten a few Michiganders not even knowing where the UP was.
Anyhoo, for some reason, I got it to work again. I'm not sure how, but I tried a few times and it just worked fine. But thanks for your help and concert =)

Yep. The UP is the area above the lake. Not any part of the mitten (everyone thinks its the top of the 'mitten' or the thumb).
