Hi Friends
It's been a long time since I checked in due to family issues. I am now looking for an inexpensive (or better yet Free) product that I can use to create Video CD's. I want to be able to send frequent video cd's to my very young daughter who is unfortunately living in another state. (bedtime stories ect)
I would like to keep it simple using my present Logitech cam and mic.
I am running XP Pro on a Dell Dimension 2300. I will be increasing the amount of RAM as necessary.

Any suggestions and pointers would be gladly appreciated. Having to do this breaks my heart but I am assured that these with be played nightly. I would like the ability to play these back on a standard DVD player

Does your webcam have software that will record the input and save it to a compatible file type?

VCD = MPEG1

There are many options.
There are video editors such as Ulead Video Studio.
Aswell as being able to record from a valid input device you will be able to save in the correct format for VCD.

Nero and Roxio both have products to create VCD's.
