IE6 not working but AOL browser does
When i type an url into IE6 it doesnt work. Say i type google.com, at the bottom it will bring up auto.search.msn, google.com.com, google.com.org, google.com.net, google.com.edu, auto.search.msn, and then says "internet explorer cannot open the search page". When i click ok, at the bottom it say "connecting to site 127.0.0.1" and does nothing. I read something about LAN settings but proxy server isnt ticked in internet options. Here is my Hijackthis log

Double check if you are using a Proxy
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyServer = 127.0.0.1:7212 If it still doesn't work then fix that option with HJT.

Not sure why that proxy would still stay.
Do you have any programs that block the chaning of reg entries, such as Spybot? Anyways, could you please run ann adaware scan then post a new HJT log in the Cyber Safety forum. Just to see if there are other nasties that are interfering.
