I recently made it to DSL from Verizon. My E-mail program that I've used for 4+ years is Incredimail. It turns out that Verison DSL does not support this program.
So I now have to use Outlook express or the Verizon mail center both off which don't have all the crazy junk that I enjoy.
I have spent hours with Verizon Tech support trying to remedy this. Is there a way around this or is there a mailing program that has similar attributes as Incredimail?

Kind regards,

How don't they support it?

What problems are you having and what did the techs say?

My incredimail program will not mail out on the DSL network. they just say that it is not supported or that it's incompatible. Any mail sent from my pc through incredimail just comes back as undeliverable. Very frustrating!!

That's gotta be "tech support" bs for "I have no Idea what I'm doing".

Incredimail is just a POP mailer.
If you can use LookOut! (sorry OutLook) express, then you can use Incredimail.

I take it you have set up Outlook express to work?

Uninstall and reinstall Incredimail. When you first start it up, you will get the option to import all settings from Outlook Express, this should get it working.

Hi there. recently been through a reinstall of Incredimail on my wife's PC (from Win98 to Win2k) and the export/import function works pretty good. What I'd be concerned with is how much it will overwrite.

Haven't got a guinea pig to play with at the moment but here's what I'd do:

1) From incredimail File>Data & Settings Transfer>Export to new computer
2) Uninstall incredimail & reboot.
3) Use Outlook express to connect to your mail provider - send some test emails to yourself (use a web-based mail account (e.g Hotmail) as recipient.
4) Reinstall Incredimail - when prompted, import settings from Outlook Express.
5) Use incredimail to perform the same tests (using Hotmail web account)
6) In Incredimail File>Data & Settings Transfer>Import from old computer

Don't delete the .cab file, you may still need it later.

See if that works. :crosses fingers:

I'm picking there is a chance that it will retain the old "not working" connection settings and leave you back at square one.
If so...
1) From incredimail Tools>Accounts. Delete the one that's not working. Make sure all your saved mail and stationery etc is still there.
2) From incredimail File>Data & Settings Transfer>Export to new computer save it as a different file name than last time
3) Uninstall incredimail. & reboot
4) Reinstall Incredimail - when prompted, import settings from Outlook Express.
5) Use incredimail to perform the same tests (using Hotmail web account)
6) In Incredimail File>Data & Settings Transfer>Import from old computer
