I have a 533mhz system with 256 memory and running windows me. I have Yahoo DSL which I have a problem regarding the browser. Everytime I click on a certain link thru email or acess a website or a website which i click on a link to open a second window, it locks up, I would have to do ctrl+alt+delete to shut it down and then relaunch it again. I dont have that problem with IE6, however I can access other websites thru yahoo browser without problem. Also my IE 6 is taking longer to luanch after i launch it. any help would be appreciated

its more than a link, its links on email (webmail)or some websites that i browsed more than once and when i click on the links to access, its supposed to open a second window, but locks up. Also when i try to access a certain website, it locks up as well, while some of the other websites that i frequently access, they open up without any problems especially the links that are on them. i have a pop-up blocker on the yahoo browser and it works good, but it hasn't detected any ad pop-ups. When i got this computer 6 months ago, i set up yahoo dsl and got it going, worked great until a virus got in my system . my antivirus program was up to date it detected a virus that caused ads to pop up all over the screen. I have yahoo antispyware which stopped most of the pop-ups on IE6, but some of the popups happen breifly after i launch IE 6. A pop-up blocker is also on IE 6. When i open up yahoo browser, no pop-up ads ever come up. Do you think this problem might have something to why i cant access certain links?
for instance. iwon.com or classmates.com which i get thru emails or my bank insituition website.

Incase the IEFix tool didn't work correctly you can try the manual method

try pressing the ctrl key as you click on the links. What happens?

No effect. Still trying the manual method, so far no success.
