Hi There,

Just drop by to enquire if it is possible to share MS Outlook calendar between a client running Office XP and another one running Office 2003.

All data related to the above-mentioned are kept in a personal folder.

Thx a lot.

Sorry, but unless they are using Microsoft Exchange Server, there is no simple, built-in, reliable method for sharing contacts and calendars in Outlook.

Well, I am not sure of reliable solution, but I would like to provide simple solution, ( I don't know how reliable it is, may be you should try and experiment it)

Export your contacts/calander from either version of Office and Import from other. By my knowledge the .pst Folder being followed by microsoft now, Is supported by both XP and 03, so it should work. If it dosent, choose the lowest common factor in import/export.

I hope that would work. (If not you have done one experiment :michaelan )

That would work if they wanted to overwrite each others Calendar.. ie: Outlook 2000 makes some changes to the calendar.. Outlook 2003 makes changes to their calendar.. as soon as they import the other calendar EVERYTHING they made changes to would be overwritten..

Not a good solution I would think !!

The reasoning behind the Exchange Server requirement is the Calendar is kept on a central server accessible to all.. any changes made are reflected immediately to everyone having access to it..
