Daemon Tools

My neighbour, an older gentleman, ask if I could help clean his system after his nephew had "tweaked" it.
I started by suggesting that he state flatly that "You may use my system as long as you do not make any changes, ie: add or remove any setups.
I had no problems getting his system back in order, but did find a folder with "Daemon Tools".
Can anyone tell me what this refers to and what it is supposed to do?????

It's software to emulate CD's meaning that you can create an image of a CD to store on your harddrive instead of using the CD.

No, it's not a problem, but if its not used then uninstall it
