View Full Version : Vietcong: Can see online servers, but cant login!

I installed a fresh windows XP home on my computer.

I installed all updates incl. Service Pack 2.

I installed vietcong with all updates, and I can see all servers, BUT CANT LOG IN (you know the phone sound). http://216.40.206.219/boardimages/undecided.gif

I reset my router, no succes. I reset the modem, I reconfigured the router, no succes. http://216.40.206.219/boardimages/angry.gif

Windows firewall is off, Norton Internet Security uninstalled.

I installed XP without updates, but I cant login. http://216.40.206.219/boardimages/huh.gif

Internet & email works, but I cant login to any server. http://216.40.206.219/boardimages/shocked.gif

I installed vietcong from different images, but... cant log in! http://216.40.206.219/boardimages/sad.gif

Is it a game?
Is it the one who's website says the server is down for maintenance? (although that could be the website and not the game)

Do you know of any friends who have access or access problems?

I can see the game servers in Multiplayergame, but I cant login to any server.

It doesn't give you an error?

No, there is error warning. If you cant login to a server (maybe password protected or not the same version), the game gives you a sound. This sound is the only error warning at all.

it has something to do with your firewall i installed norton and it made my bf1942 multiplay all messed up so i uninstalled it. try to lower your firewall settings worked for me

Norton is uninstalled, but it is the same mistake.

I tried it WITHOUT a router, direct internet connection. No software firewalls, fresh overwritten Harddisk, fresh System:

No server connection possible.
