I don't know if this is in the right board but here goes. I am having a problem with the view in my computer. The color is is completely different on everything I view, and it is unclear. I checked the monitor settings, and the color and pixel settings on the computer. They are set where they should be. When I print ,it prints the way I have just described. My computer runs windows 98. I have run virus scans and have none. I am not a computer guru, and would appreciate greatly any suggestions. Thanks

Hi there tankeryanker, welcome to CyberTechHelp.

One of the hardest parts of our job here is diagnosis of exactly what you are seeing so it's important we get as good a description as possible from you.
I'm having difficulty picturing your issue from what you have described so far so I'm going to have to ask you a few questions:

1) By colour is different, do you mean it shows red where it should be green, green where it should be blue etc etc?
2) In your Win98 ControlPanel>Display>Advanced. What are the settings actually set to?
e.g. Screen area (resolution) = 800x600 or 1024x768, colour (depth) = High Colour (16bit)/ true colour (24bit) etc
3) How old is your monitor?
4) Do you see the incorrect colours in ALL programs (e.g Internet browsers, word, Games), even on your normal desktop backgrounds?
5) Can you confirm that the messed up colours also appear on all printed output?

Thanks
