I installed MS Office 2003 Pro and inadvertently used the wrong product key (I was setting up multiple machines and used the same key twice). Does anyone know a way for me to change the key without uninstalling and reinstalling the program?

you must not ask how to get around product keys and such like on this forum. We
are strictly legal. Just re-install is the only reponse you will get here. Anyone who wishes to make any other suggestion should think carefully first!

If I had another suggestion I would give it. If you have legal keys for all installations, I see nothing wrong with changing the key to the correct one. If you are making more than two computers that are identical, why not save time and clone the hard drive and then change to the proper keys if you can. You aren't stealing anything. I would know how to do that for the os but not for Office. Try here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Decrypting-Decoding/WinKeyFinder.shtml

That's pretty much what Im trying to do. I nstalled the software on one new system, then the next day installed their software but used teh key from teh first by mistake. I have legal licenses for all installations, I just used the wrong one and was hoping there was a way to just change it without reinstalling everything.

Try the link I posted in the previous post. I haven't tried it but it sounds like it should work.

Unexpected error, when? When downloading, or running the program? I downloaded it and tried the program. Everything worked.

Try this one then: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml . If that doesn't work you have another issue.
