Trojans present

NORTON HAS ALERTED ME I HAVE TROJAN'S PRESENT THAT IT CAN'T REPAIR,

I have ran spybot /microsoft antispyware yet they still remain,

can any1 please advise a free download that will rid me of these nosy pests.

All you have to do is find the file path of the trojan and run killbox then delete the file. If you don't have Killbox you can get it at the following.

For trojans I personally use the TDS-3 you can read up on it below.

If you're running XP and the trojans are reported as being in "System Volume Information," or you're running ME and they're reported as being in "Restore," then they are in the restore points. Since you don't want to use a restore point infected with trojans, you need to delete all restore points.

You do that by turning off System Restore, which deletes all restore points. Then turn System Restore back on if you want it running.

been using norton and not updated virus definitions for month's, only just checked 2nite.

I disabled system restore, updated virus definitions, restarted in safemode then run a full system scan and deleted the files that were infected.

I then cleared all internet history on / offline, rebooted then re checked system restore.

I hope this is of use to other users who like myself browse round this site looking for threads with similar issues before posting and waiting for answers.

"I do appreciate" the time and effort the (MODS)and other well known users give to people who are not as fortunate in some subjects namely PC related issues on this outstanding site.

A big thankyou to everybody who has given help/advice no matter how big/ small the problem.
