Mouse Troubles

I'm not really sure if this is in the right place but, I have a problem with my mouse.

A little background info: I purchased a wireless keyboard/mouse installed it and used it till the batteries died.

Now I'm back to using my old mouse and keyboard but, I have problems when I open pages and scroll down it'll scroll up instead and I'll have to scroll down a second time to get it to work.

Next, when I scroll down when typing in a post it like goes back a page instead of scrolling down. All I want to know is how to resolve this and if you need more info on what's wrong I'll do my best to explain it better.

Did your wireless mouse have it's own software?
Are you still using it for the non-wireless mouse?

Check in Mouse Properties that you have the correct settings.

Oh sorry forgot that part, yes I did install new software for my mouse and keyboard in order to use them but, I think what it did was change my default mouse/keyboard drivers or w/e they're called, and now the software is conflicting with the different hardware... I don't know how to recall my old default mouse/keyboard drivers... I've already tinkered a little but, to no solution ie yes I've checked the properties it says its working fine and a few other options that are over my head to know what it means in the advanced settings.
