Hey guys my xp pro on my laptop is wayyy too sluggish so I was told to do a fresh install, one problem though. I do not know how to do it. I am getting xp pro sp2 sent to me via aim and I have to burn it to a cd, how do I do this, just like a regular cd, or???? I am also wondering would it be beneficial to me to erase my hardrive. I am wondering if I do this would it be better because my laptop now has sp1 on it

Sounds like you are going to use a pirated version of XP and no one here will help you with that.. You are on your own !!

No one here can help you with this as it is a violation of not only the forums TOS, but the Federal law as well.

You won't get help with installing illegal copies of software so you're on your own with that.

If you have your original XP sp1 disk you can reinstall with that. You can then download sp2 from Microsoft update. You can also have Microsoft send you the sp2 update on a cd (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx).
