I want to insert a video on my website, but I am not sure how to go about doing it. Its a java script so there is no link I can find for the source. How can I find the source for the video so I can insert it.

If it's a javascript the the site that wrote and hosts the file will help you out.
If that's not the case then post some more details.

U can use flash for playing videos on ur web site....
flash is the best way for least copression and do support most browsers...
Just import ur movie in the flash and export the movie as .swf
so it is ready for ur usage..
