Usually while I'm playing a game, like Rome:Total War, my computer seems to just.. turn off.. In a way.. My monitor says that it can't read a signal from my computer, but the computer is still running.. and I have to restart it to get it to work again... (Nevermind I didn't fix the freezing issue like I thought -.-)

Please help... Please please please?

Edit: I asked a friend what he thinks it would be, and he believes that my CPU is running faster than it's maximum speed, so it's forcing it to shut down...?

I ran a program he sent me and this is one of the warnings that it had:

Warning W236 - Processor Vcore higher than rated maximum. Unless the reported value is incorrect or the processor is a different type that is not correctly detected, the voltage is higher than it should be. If you’re over-clocking the processor you may have pushed too far.
Fix: If the BIOS supports processor Vcore setting, check that the voltage programmed is correct for the processor installed. If not, check whether the mainboard supports the installed processor.

And if this is the problem, I have no idea how to fix this in the BIOS

Fist of all let me ask you if you are aware that apache is running on this computer? If you do thats one thing but if you don't know what apache is and its running that is a bad thing. Next as far as the other items in event view go well the nvidia one is just info no error there, the other is a warrning about com+ events. Have you run a virus scan on this computer with AVG, or the like? Lastly about the cpu settings if you didn't overclock the cpu then I don't know why it would be setup with the voltage too high. Did you build this system or buy it off the rack?

Built it.. And I figured out that apache was the problem.. And I deleted it.. And so far I haven't had this problem for a while. I fixed the com+ error.. And as for the virus scan.. I did when I had both of those errors not fixed, and it didn't detect anything.. -.- Oh well.. I hope it's fixed now -.-

I am glad to hear you got things fixed up. Did you install apache at one time thinking you might run a web server or did it get installed by another program as they sometimes do that.

It was installed with NVIDIA I guess...

hehe that can happen but its rare. At any rate keep us posted on how things go. Thanks for keeping us up to date thus far and don't hesitate to ask for help if you should ever need it again. :)

I had the same problem with the computer simply going to blue screen while playing games. I also have an ATI 9800, a 420watt power supply, and 7 fans. I had to unplug a fan because not enough power was getting to everything.

Yeah... Check my new post tho =P

As for what you said.. I think that could be the problem, however.. My dad also suggested that my bios settings weren't set to handle my video card... I'm going to look into that in a bit... And I'll also check your fan suggestion too :)

If you have a 420watt PS then you shouldn't have to worry about a fan drawing too much power

you would think that but I removed the fan and suddenly no more blue screen. Replaced fan and I started getting the blue screen again. Something about having 7 fans just didn't work with my computer.

Well the fans wasn't the problem -.-
