Connection problems

I am hoping someone could help me here. I have windows 2000 professional NT when i try to connect to the internet the number dials, connects, talks to server then hangs up and says problems establishing a connection. My modem is working fine but i just can't seemto stay connected. Please email me ifanyone knows anything.

Which version of Windows do you have, Windows 2000 or Windows NT? Right click MY COMPUTER and then click PROPERTIES, it will tell you.

What error message are you getting? Please post it exactly as it is displayed on your screen.
