Mini dvd is the smaller sized dvds so probably not the one's your using.
You can definitely use Nero to burn dvds. Its the most common program for burning dvds.
The easiest way to use it is with nero smartstart.
Just open it and you'll get all the features.
At the top you can select cd or dvd.

hi acaltha,
yes, i thought that ild be able to use nero, ive even looked for tutorials today and found some on burning dvds using nero, but i must have a different version (6.3.1.20) as theres is no option for dvds (apart from mini-dvd). is this right?

I suggest you get the latest version at nero.com
However, i don't think its possible you have only a minidvd option.
You could fill out the support form at their website and wait for response.

Hi,
CopyToDVD or 1 Click DVD Copy are two easy programs.
This link is for CopyToDVD, otherwise both programs are known to support DVD+RW
(a trial version is available for download)

Unless there is something knackered up in your Nero install, you shouldn't need to seek any additional software. Try downloading the newest updates and install them, should cure your problem immediately.
Nero also includes BackItUp, a backup tool which I routinely use to burn backup sessions onto DVD media.
