Reinstall Windows Me From Command Prompt

I want to reinstall Windows Me using the installation files stored in the "C:\windows\options\cabs" with a start up disc that I made...My question is after doing this will I lose the software and files that I have installed on my computer....Also I noticed that some of the files in the C:\windows\options\cabs are Zip files....Will this create a problem during the reinstall...Thanks for any help..

No, it will do a repair install
It should keep your files and settings

Do you mean CAB files?
No, the setup will decompress them.

Also the path should be C:\Windows\Options\Install
