Win Me won't startup(Windows protection error, system halted)

I upgraded my win 95 to win Me. The installation process went smoothly but after restarting my com to complete the installation, I got this error message which is Windows protection error. System halted.

Can anyone help me solve this problem, need the com for my project. Thanks a lot.

There are several possible causes of Windows protection errors, including corrupted device drivers. If you're getting any more information that will help identify what is causing the error, write down everything and then look here
