I have tried installing Yahoo Downloadable games to try out and they won't open when I click on them after installing. Rebooting doesn't help. Any suggestions?:(

I'm running Windows XP home edition, and I have tried various games in their download section, like Word Slinger, and Lemonade Tycoon....many more and get the same result every time afterinstalling.
I scan for viruses, and then install the program. It all goes very smoothly, I reboot and when I click on the icon they provide on the desktop I get the hourglass turning....then it stops, goes away and "nothing". It is like I never clicked the icon. I have tried going directly to the exe file in the folder where I installed it, and have tried to open it from there, or from the start menu...nothing. The programs just won't open.
So I figure this has to be some sort of universal problem that others have experienced. Any ideas? I have contacted Yahoo, but they don't reply to my emails, and I have found nothing in their entire site that addresses this. Also, they don't have anything in help files with the programs. Very frustrating.
Let me also add, that there is no problem running the online games. The applets work fine, this is just for the game you can download and play.

You do not have much to work with for games. You barely have enough for winxp to work. You need more ram and more harddrive space. You should have at least 256 but 516 would even be better. You should also have 20 - 25 percent of your drive free.

well, I guess I figured if I could be running Diablo II with the expansion pack okay, that I wouldn't have any trouble with a dinky little Yahoo game lol. I know, this computer is so packed. I really can't wait to get my new system. I am shooting for 250gb, and at least a 1gb ram. But that is a ways off. I will try to clean it up a bit and see how much space I can free up. Do you have any other ideas why only these particular games won't run? Others seem to do just fine when I install them
