My computer is setup for network ( more than one person on the computer) how do I un-set it up, How do I make it not have to have an administrator. Basically how to I turn the networking off? I don't want to mess around with thing myself, THanks.

What exactly do you want to do?

WinME does not have an Administrator.
Also, if you remove all Networking then there will be no Internet Access.

Is it your computer? Does any other computer rely on it for internet connection or anything else? Does the computer rely on another computer for internet access? Are you connected to a router or hub? Do you have a diirect line for broadband?

Hi, It is my computer, but I previously got it it from my mom. I guess maybe I asked the wrong question. I tried to download something for my internet providerand it said that I didnot have permission to do so on my computer, I need to know how to change that . No I don't rely on another computer for internet access. The next question about the hub and router I have no idea. I don't know the last answer either . THanks sorry for being so confusing I have no idea about most of this stuff. :dizzy:

Are you sure you have Windows Millenium? You computer is acting like you have something else.

Do a right click on the MY COMPUTER icon on the Desktop and then do a left click on PROPERTIES, the version of Windows that you have will be displayed in the upper right hand corner.

Definately Windows Me, but I double checked to be sure. I will try to download the software (from my Isp) again and see what it says if it lets me or not. Thanks.

You really need to give more info.

What program did you try to download?
What is it for?
What ISP?

What was the full error message given?

They (my isp) apparently won't let you save the software on a disk, so me being the computer genius that I am not  assumed the message was regarding my computer and not my isp. I am able to download it to my computer and apparently I have to have permission form them to save it onto a disk. Anyways problem solved. THanks.
