sounds like you had a blast!!!! And a late happy b'day!
Hope you didn't take my jibe the wrong way, was a bit tongue in cheek. Lan parties are a blsat.

For the big one next year, have a bit of everything.

Lan in one area, dance in another - how about getting a big pool setup there (but not too near the network bit). It'll get out of hand, so maybe worth having a few trusted jocks keeping an eye on things before it gets TOO far out of hand. Enjoy it!

Water and electircity - not a good mix when you've got a bunch of semi-drunk teenagers!!!!!!

As for the chicks getting bored thing, oh how youth is wasted on the young..............................

BTW - Snurf, what was march 19th?

Wales beat Ireland at rugby, and I had hospitality (eg free beer at the match) provided, by my Irish colleagues no less. Not wishing to be rude, I took my hosts invitation VERY seriously. I partook so enthusiastically, I was home in bed by 20:30, fully clothed (including shoes). Still had my scarf on and Welsh flag draped across my back.

It was quite an historic win, as quiet frankly, we've been pretty poor over the last 20 years, with the odd exceptional season.

By winning this match, we had a clean sweep. Every Feb/March we have the Six Nations championship. The participants are England, France, Italy, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. There are three levels of championships within the one.
If England,Ireland, Scotland or Wales beat the other three in that group, you've won the "Triple Crown".
If you beat ALL the other teams, you've won the "Grand Slam"
and then you've got the Six Nations championship itself, which you win on points (2 for a win, 1 for a draw), so you can win this without winning the other two.

Our last championship was in 94 and our last Grand Slam was in 87, so it was quite a big win for us down here, especially as the English have been giving us so much grief over the last 15 years or so.

To make the win EXTRA sweet, we now have a side generally accepted to be in the top 3 or 4 in the world (NZ usually take the top slot, and South Africa often pop up in 2nd spot).

Like NZ, this country runs on rugby (thats the real code "union", not the touch rugby code "League" as played by those odd folk "up north" - i.e near Degsy and Dammit), so we as a small nation are now full of "Hwyl"-or just generally feeling happy and quite a bit smug.

Well, congrats... (though I hope I don't start a flame war by saying that. ;) )

In many ways I can relate, though it has been many a year since I've woke up in my clothes or without knowing where the are (the wife frowns upon those things you know  )

As a Red Sox fan (american baseball), I know how sweet it is to be the underdog and to end out coming on top. The Sox went 86 without a championship and lost many times to the dreaded Yankees and last year they WON. The world has not been the same since. The seasons is just starting up and we're all like a bunch of kid's waiting for the candy store to open. Damn, I hope there's something good this year. :greedy:

Congrats Wales...... GO SOX!!!
