Hello everyone

I was given a polaroid fun flash 820 but I am having trouble getting the pictures imported. I downloaded the driver for it from polaroid and it shows up correctly in both Photoimpression and Photolightning but when I try to import the photos the program(s) "Encounter a problem a need to close". I've tried redownloading and reinstalling the driver but the problem persists. I'vetried switching between com 1 and 2 but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Does anybody know howto fix this or a different way to get my photos off the camera?
thanx

The Fun! Flash 820 was designed to be used with Windows 95/98 or Me.
Testing has shown that photo downloading does not work with the Windows XP platform

Oh bummer thanks. Do you think I could get the pictures off with the help of an emulator?

Windows 98SE is cheap as nails. You could run a dual-boot system where when you
wanted to do the camera you'd boot Windows 98. The glitch is when installing to create
a dual boot which includes Windows 98 as one of the operating systems then Windows 98
has to be installed on the drive first. Then when Windows XP install sees Windows 98
is on the drive it does the appropriate things to create a proper boot-loader to allow
the system to operate as a dual boot machine.

So this means you'd have to format the drive (erase everything) and start with the Windows 98
install then move to the Windows XP install.

Emulators? I can't say...never use them. That's more a gamers field.

You could get Windows 98SE at Ebay

There is one option to try before going dual boot. Windows XP has the ability to run older
programs in compatibility mode. It may or may not work...it's worth a shot anyway.

or
Click Start and then click Help and Support. Type Program Compatibility Wizard in the Search box.

Damnthe compatibility wizard couldn't do it though. Guess I'll be dual booting If I can't find an emulator up to the job. Thanks for the help.
