zip, you know there is always more good news floating around than bad.
But you also know the media's main line:
"If it bleeds, it leads."
Always see and hear the bad but have to look a little harder for the good.
It's there just as you pointed out.

Well after the dryest Feb in 111 years and a 7 year drought where precip has been about 1/2 of normal, we are finally getting a decent snow storm about 6" here in central MT. Most we have had all season.

Just to add to my above post:
The very essence of journalism is uncovering whatever is bad rather than reporting whatever is good - questioning motives, searching out immorality, focusing on controversy and in general, looking for the worst in people and situations.
Is this what the majority wants?
What headline would you go for:
Child mauled to death by 2 pitbulls.
Or
Child licked to laughter by 3 puppies.
They (media) say we want the bad. Who we?? Everyone I talk to wants more good news.
So it's like fashion, cars, buildings, etc.
It's forced on us as we have no choice and then told we must like it because we buy it.
What a circle jerk.
Sorry. Having a brain fart today.
