ZipGenius is the file compression suite you were searching for: it is free and easy to use, plus it supports more than 20 formats of compressed archives, including RAR, ARJ, ACE, CAB, SQX and the excellent 7-zip.;)

this is a compression tool that i think is the best among its competitors
also it will not cost you a dime! ;)

Heh. Just tried to download zipgenius from that site and got a message in italian saying it was "bloccatto" due to excess traffic. Here is the main site with links to the mirrors, of which the above is one.
