On my destop I have a little Search Bar to my Bottom right of screen, above the clock, I can push Ctrl+Alt+Del and Shut it off, but I can't uninstall it. I don't know how It got there.
I have ran Adware and Spybot still no help, I also ran Nortan 2005, it finds it, but It wont let me delete it.
How could I get rid of this.
Using Windows XP and it calls it's self Desktopsearch.exe
Thanx.

I think this bugger comes from MSN. Shouldn't be hard to remove.
As stated, look here:
add/remove programs
msconfig/startup programs
start/programs/startup folder
regedit and find desktopsearch.exe and delete;)

K, I ran MSconfig and found the 2 I want to Stop.
desktop : C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\desktop.exe
ffisearch: C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\ffisearch.exe
I uncheck both and hit Apply, and it restarts my computer.
Computer starts back up and both are checked and turned on again :(
So I tryed deleting C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\ but it wouldn't let me, saying it was iether "write-protected or files are in use".
