cross over connection

i have just connect a crossover lead to share my internet connection, the problem is the main comp can access internet but the 2nd comp cant but says it is connected,also since doing this a process called tcpsvcs.exe is using 99% cpu.i have read all the other simalar post 2day and carried out everything it says but still nothing,both comps r on XP,also cant ping each comp...any help would be great

PS...i have just also noticed that in device manager there is a new adapter appeared under network adapters called - microsoft tun miniport adapter #2 - which has an explanation mark next to it, when i click on properties it says - This device cannot start. (Code 10).tried installing new drivers from windows update but nothing, wierd cos it wasnt there earlier..dont know where it came from
