Hey guys, i have this weird problem i use this VOIP program called SKYPE and i have D-LINK 2.4Ghz Wireless Router Broadband DI-614+. Now I have cable internet and the wireless router is so my brother can use his laptop, I am using Windows XP, P4 3ghz 1gb ram. The problem:
Everytime I use skype the computer after lets say 40 min disconnects although network connection doesnt show this and when i press CTRL+ALT+DEL i get the following error:
Windows - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000017). Click on OK to terminate the application.
If i try to shut down i get a blue screen, if i try to restart it doesnt, if i try to log off it gives an error upon logging in again. If i do not use skype the computer runs perfectly fine and the internet stays online. I also play counterstrike with my friends online and when i play on that it works fine but if im using skype at the same time the computer disconnects in 30 min. i never had this problem before i got the router but i cannot get rid of the router as my brother needs it for his laptop. Can some one please help me because evrytime it disconnects i have to hold the power button on my computer n close it n reopen it like that which i fear might damage my hardware. Anyones help in this regard will bea huge help. Thanks in advance to you all !
