I am getting a "fatal exception 06" when i try to start up my computer. Does anyone have any idea what this problem is or how to fix it?

Fatal error 6 is a processor code failure of varying natures.
Try to boot to dos and run a scandisk at least.
If possible, try the suggestions in the link.

Well I was getting a fatal exception 06 now I'm getting a fatal exception OE. I removed the 56k modem from the PCI slot. Then when I restarted the computer the fatal exception 06 came up fatal exception OE. Anyone have any ideas? Could reinstalling Windows 98 fix the problem?
