I heard somewhere that an actress of the age of 31 died of pnumonia a couple weeks ago. I'm just curious if anyone here knows of it and can validify the statement. Please respond if you know this I really have to know the truth.

I can certainly attest to that. Nicole would most likely have made it with proper treatment.
A few years ago I had these flu symptoms and, getting worse, went to an Emergy Center. They gave me 2 quarts/pints (I don't know) of IV fluids and sent me home. I went the same day as it worsened to my family doctor. Finally took an x-ray and said I had pneumonia in both lungs. He gave me antibiotics and told me to rest the weekend at home. (this was Friday). Bad move. Monday I couldn't breath and went to the hospital. After 3 chest tubes, on a respirator, strong, strong antibiotics, cut me for a biopsy of my lung and 100mg Demerol every 2 hours, they gave up. I was dying.
My young children came to see me and I remember holding their hands. They asked me if I was going to die. I shook my head no. Next day I was a little better. Next day I was off respirator. Went from ICU to CSU and to a private room next day. 2 days later I was home. 3-4 months to completely recover.
Was I lucky? I think I was a little more than lucky and had some help from above. It was not my turn.
I tell you all this story to make sure you don't go through the same things I did. If I feel sick, I go to the doctor. If I don't agree with his assessment, I go to a good hospital.
Good health to all.
P.S. I still remember all those needles in my leg with the Demerol. Die? Who cares. I feel great. I somehow got them to understand I wanted that drug IM and not IV as it seemed to take effect quicker and last longer. I know how easy it is to get hooked, fast, on drugs like these. I took Tylox for a couple of weeks at home and really didn't want to give them up either. Careful.
