Hi i have this problem, we have 3 computers all connected trough a router dl 713p out to the internet. Now one of the comp cant connect anymore, ive tried all i know from changing settings in the router and upgrade the firmware. We have a static ip adress and when i use that and skip the router i can connect. But when i change the settings to get automatic adress i get one of those IANA ip adresses. When i try to ipconfig /release and then renew i get the message i cant connect to the dhcp server.

Well thats my problem i would be very happy for some info on what im doing wrong ... i would be very happy if i didnt need to format my computer

thanks for a great site Chris

Sounds like dhcp is either off or not working for some reason in the router. What brand a mod number is the router and under the routers setup can you tell if you have dhcp enable and how many clients can use it and how much time per lease?
